Hyper Realism
5/12/2017
For the concept that I wanted to capture during this Final project was to get the picture of an eye. Just the eye so you can see all the color and the simplicity and beauty that the human eye is and from there I have the “soul” climbing out of the center of the eye, because when you stare into someone’s eye you are supposed to be able to see their soul.
Therefore, that is what I was trying to capture during this final.  I wanted to show the creativity that I was willing to do and show during this final.  I had to find places that where low enough and right angels to capture the perfect picture of me trying to climb out of something.  To get the effect to look the most realistic I had to add shadows underneath my arms to give the illusion on me climbing out of the eye.
The only trouble that I had was trying to get a close up of my eye without the picture becoming to blurry or unable to focus because it could not get close enough.  In addition, while trying to capture a picture of my eye I had to make sure that there was not anything blocking the light trying to reflect off my eyes.

Panorama
4/28/2017
This week we needed to take multiply pictures and combine them together to make a Panorama picture.  It took some time to finally get the correct picture due to aligning each picture and making sure that there is enough similarity to allow for the full aspect of the scene to be captured.  I had to make sure that the light was the same in all the photos that I took of this scene.
During capture the sunlight was bouncing off different parts in each scene so making sure that the color stays the same through out the whole scene was a bit difficult.  But I was still able to use the shadows were the light and darkness meet between some of the photos though some were to strong and were unusable.  Luckily that I had taken multiply shots of this scene due to the amount of light that was out during that time of day that I took it.

Motion
4/14/2017
For this assignment it was all about capturing the motion of something moving.  I wanted to capture the smoke while being able to see the motion of it as well.  It took a while to finally capture the smoke coming out just right with the circles being made.  With a lot the original pictures coming out blurry or not the right time of when I wanted to smoke to appear it was quite difficult for the right picture.  I wanted to brighten up the smoke and luckily I was wearing black so it really stood out so it was a nice composition.  I also needed to blur the background out and crop out a lot of the extra things that were sitting on my desk which was a bit too distracting from the smoke.  Putting more focus on me and the smoke allowed for the background to become less distracting and darkening the surroundings while bringing out the whiteness of the smoke and the shape of it as well.

Portrait
4/7/2017
For this week it was about Portraits and taking the essence of what a person is just by capturing them in a normal moment.  We could only have one or two people in the photo so only capturing them in their unnoticed moments.  So while taking the pictures during conversations really allowed me to exceed what I wanted to capture.  While I was taking the picture I had to get more light into the room because it was rather dark.  Adding the flash and another light source brought plenty of light.   I also covered up some of his blemishes that where showing, allowing him to have a smoother face. I did bring out the green in his eyes more and tried to make sure the reflections on the skin weren’t too harsh.  So because he had some oily skin, I had to find an angle that gave his face a great shape and dynamic look without having the light bounce off him.  I also had some more light and brightened his skin in Photoshop to bring out the youth of his skin.  Leaving the background behind clear really allows for all the focus to be on the subject instead of the surrounding area.

Lighting Portrait Post
3/30/2017
For this composition I was trying to capture was getting a silhouette of the person while still capturing the light that reflects off of her and the wall behind her.  Though in this photo there inst that much shadow being allowed to show but that is because I had her to close to the light and didn't allow for proper silhouette.

For this composition I tried to only give one source of light from in front of her to see the different angles of light that reflect off the body. But becuase she has such dark hair it can get lost in the black and white photo so I may have wanted to use someone with a lighter color hair.

For this composition the light was coming from 2 sources and it aloud the room to be full of light and allowed for very little shadows to appear on his face and around him.  Giving more focus on the youth of his face and I wanted to avoid too much background openness but it still came through.

For this picture I used only sun light that was shining through the window and it gave a good balance of dark and white colors.  I should have moved the stuff off the door or even taken the picture outdoors.

Things

3/10/2017
In the Things assignment we were suppose to capture a image within 3-4 feet from us. This type of photography allows for the little things in life to be noticed and enlarged to fully capture the textures. So I wanted to capture an image that brought out the small details that go unnoticed and refine it to allow the view of what the world can do.

I tried to brighten up the picture to allow all the textures of the wood and the metal to really be pronounced. The chips in the wood have different colors that have changed over time and age. It showed that this wood and gone through many seasons and still held strong. The metal was still tightly wrapped around the wood so it gave good shadows underneath it while still having the wood break through from the crushing strength of the wire.

When I first took the picture the right side was to plan and open. I took a broken leaf and placed it between the wood and the wire to capture more depth of field and to cover less of the open space. Once I placed it the blurriness from the leaf being close and the rest being far enough away allowed for the picture to fully come together.
